Klor Jani

Page history last edited by PBworks 16 years, 11 months ago

Klor Jani is the science that studies the Yardh magical system. Klor Amil, by contrast, is the science that studies how the magical process interacts with nature in other ways.

Styles

In Klor Jani, there are five or what are called "Styles", each Style having two sizes, forming ten Elements. Every element has a numerological property, and one has inherent instability. Those with multiple numerological properties vary depending on the amount of "Heavier" Styles around them; for example, {L} is 2,4, or 6, depending on whether it is sourrounded by both unheavy (not light, because that is the name of a Style) elements, one heavy and one unheavy, or both heavy respectively. {D}, {d}, and {l} differ on whether there are any heavy elements connected to them. Styles are also either Luminescent or Tinted, properties I'll go into later.

{b} - Blue, Tint, 1

{g} - Green, Tint, 2

{r} - Red, Tint, 3

{d} - Dark, Luminous, 1,3

{l} - Light, Luminous, 2,4

{B} - Heavy Blue, Tint,1 (Also with an inherent U1)

{G} - Heavy Green, Tint, 3

{R} - Heavy Red, Tint, 5

{D} - Heavy Dark, Luminous, 1,3

{L} - Heavy Light, Luminous, 2,4,6

Rules of Stability

Stability is a property that affects any Klor composite, known hereafter as a Munklor. Stabilizer Forms, for example, must have a purely stable structure. Munklors also require a certain degree of stability to stand alone without breaking into composite parts (although stabilizers can help, well, stabilize them). Below is a list of what the numeological properties of the Munklor must add up to to gain a particular type of stability:

ST: 2,3,4,6,8,12 = Stable by itself.

U1: 5,7,9,10,11 = Only a little unstable, the user must use their will to keep it stable.

U2: 13,14,15 = Much more unstable

U3: 16-19 = Lasts for mere seconds

U4: 20+ = Impossible to make short of using elaborate Stabilizers to balance it out.

Forms

There are five forms that Muklors can take with Basic bonds without leaving them horribly unstable.

  • Elemental forms = Forms consisting of three of the same Style, in both heavy and unheavy forms. Such forms create changing processes.
  • Sensory forms = Forms consisting of a tint in the middle and a luminous of the same type on either end. These form sensory illusions, although not limited merely to eyesight.
  • Solid forms = Forms consisting of a luminous in the middle and a tint of the same type on either end. These form objects that are solid, and have mass and so forth, as well as help solidify things that are not solid yet.

  • Stabilizer Bases = Consist of Red, Green, and Blue, arranged in three different ways. the middle style reflects a good deal on the properties that the stabilizer base takes. Stabilizers are build from bases and seeds to produce complicated meta-processes that act upon other magic, some even going so far as to deflect or help restabilize others endlessly.
  • Stabilizer Seeds = Consist of a tint and a luminous, although because of the condition of stability, there is a limit on which ones are allowed.

Bond Types

More than one bond type exists, although finding new bond types, or the properties that make up all bond types has been a very fruitless study, mostly because tampering in such things tends to lead to the tamperer's death. Nonetheless, new bond types have been discovered.
