The Pegasus is a flying, sentient horse. Created from various legends in the Dragon Archives, merely touching a pegasus has extremely beneficial health effects. Like Dragons, the pegasus does not need its wings to fly.

The pegasus lives 50 years exactly, at which point its body spontaneously dies. Ten months before this happens, however, one lucky pegasus becomes pregnant. On the first's death, the second is born, with similar personality traits, in the only proven means of non-Deva reincarnation. What purpose it serves and how it came to be is unknown, even to the Cimdi.

The pegasus, although beautiful and a creature of healing, is vicious and vengeful towards other sentient races, especially dragons. While their favorite food is in Ashtaron, getting caught therein leads to imprisonment or early death (which doesn't allow for reincarnation, one of the reasons their number has dropped). The pegasus attacks with its hooves and wings, or worst of all, bonds with dangerous Gatas, who are healed by it and wage incessant disease.

Although a creature of the light, the Pegasus sides more with Kavari and Viili causes, although for the most part, will keep to its own race.
